Brand identity, export trade-fair leaflets and catalogues for a producer of eco-friendly, handwoven wool blankets and cushions. From ready-made fabric with no name of its own, Blana's Blankets became a brand with a finished product and prices that hold in European and Scandinavian markets.

Higher pricing in international markets within 12 months, across European countries and Scandinavia. Premium branding opened the door to higher prices, because the product is now read as a brand and not as ready-made fabric.
Blana's Blankets has been weaving on the loom for half a century. The product already had what buyers abroad look for: eco-friendly, handmade wool fabric with colours and textures no machine produces.
But the business mainly sold ready-made fabric, locally and in a few European markets, and had no finished product of its own. Without a name or an identity, fabric is compared on price alone.
At a trade fair or in an importer's catalogue, it disappears among industrial products with strong brands.
At the centre of the logo sits a woman weaving on a loom, drawn in a fine line, because that is exactly what the brand sells: the hands and the time behind every blanket.
Above her stands the monogram of two Bs in gold, with fine sprigs between the letters.
Because this is an eco-friendly product, the colours were chosen to say so. The deep green ring that holds the name brings in nature and natural wool.
The earthy terracotta and charcoal of the traditional pattern around it give the mark the feel of a woven textile.
The brand is what turned the fabric into a finished product. With a name, a mark and one consistent image, blankets and cushions can be sold at prices of their own.
The logo

For export we designed leaflets for export trade fairs and product catalogues. The aim was that a buyer walking past a stand or leafing through a catalogue understands in seconds what the product is, what it is made of and why it is worth its price.
From ready-made fabric sold mostly locally, Blana's Blankets now has a finished product of its own and a presence in European markets and Scandinavia.
With a recognisable identity and material made for buyers abroad, the same handmade product sells at higher prices, 30% higher in international markets within 12 months.
